Parkwood is a suburb of the Gold Coast City Council in Queensland, Australia. It is around 8.7 kilometers (5.4 miles) north-west of Southport and is bordered on the north by Napper Road, the east by Olsen Avenue, and the south and west by Smith Street.
Parkwood is known for its leafy, green streets, well-kept gardens, and detached houses. The majority of which are either owned or rented. The entire suburb was established in the last 20 years and is part of Gold Coast City Council Division 6.
The suburb, which dates from the 1980s, is entirely residential. Local shopping districts on Olsen Avenue and Napper Road, as well as the Parkwood International golf course, are the only civic facilities in the area.
